Season Registration

Students qualifying for the Honor Band or Academy Band will be eligible to compete at the Gateway Brass Band Festival in St. Louis on Saturday, March 15, 2025. Performers will be responsible for getting to and from St. Louis on the competition day. Participants under 18 years of age must travel with a parent/guardian or provide a waiver allowing travel with another adult. Qualifying members choosing not to participate in the Gateway competition, aged 18 and under, will have a spot in the youth band. Unfortunately, those qualifying members over 18 who choose not to participate in the Gateway competition will not be able to join FCYBA during the spring. Those season fees will be reimbursed. An additional competition fee of $50 will be assessed to each participant to offset sheet music and competition entry fees. If you qualify for the Honor Band or Academy Band and agree to all of these terms, please select if you would like to participate in the Gateway Brass Band Championships. Please select no if you qualify but do not agree to all of the terms.

Students qualifying for the Academy Band will be eligible to compete at the North American Brass Band Championships in Fort Wayne, IN, April 3-6, 2025. Performers will be responsible for getting to and from Huntsville for the competitions. Participants under 18 years of age must travel with a parent/guardian or provide a waiver allowing travel with another adult. Qualifying members choosing not to participate in the North American Championships aged 18 and under will have a spot in the Honor or Youth band. Unfortunately, those qualifying members over 18 who choose not to participate in the North American Championships will not be able to join FCYBA during the spring. Those season fees will be reimbursed. An additional trip fee of $50 will be assessed to each participant to offset competition entry fees and hotel costs. In addition, participants are required to be individual members of the North American Brass Band Association. Last year the cost was $35, but you should be able to get current prices at www.nabba.org. If you qualify for the Academy Band and agree to all of the terms, please select that you want to participate in the North American Brass Band Championships. Please select no if you qualify but do not agree to all of the terms. Please make special note of the additional March 26 rehearsal for NABBA Participants.
